Put about 1/2 pound of salt bacon in 2 cups of water; simmer about 2 hours. Meanwhile, wash and pick over greens.

When the salt bacon is very tender, add the turnip greens to the pot.  Cover and simmer about 45 minutes until the

greens are tender.  Drain well.  Cut up meat and sprinkle with pepper sauce as desired.  Cooks.com says, “Ah, Dixie!”
