“Honest to Nature” Eggs

Our free-ranging, pasture-grazing hens roam freely over the farm from the minute their chicken feet hit the ground every morning until the sunset tells them, “Lights out!”

Their little safaris take them in pursuit of legumes, seeds, bugs and grit. In summer, they wander down to the pond’s edge for a worm or two and stalk the pesky grasshoppers, jumping back when a grasshopper pops up at them.

During these warmer “salad days,” they’re enriching their diets with lovely fresh nutrients from the tiny blades of grass they find.
