MINT TISANE (TEA)

A tisane is an herbal drink made by steeping herbs in boiling water. If the herb is added to tea leaves from the tea bush, this is an herbal tea.  To make mint tisane, clean fresh sprigs of mint and place in teapot or cup.  Add just-boiled water and let steep for three minutes or so.  Strain. Honey may be added to sweeten, if desired.  Mint tisane can be added to lemonade for a refreshing summer drink, too. Mint may be added to green tea, to make a mint tea.
